Hugo

Hugo

A COMPACT MOTORHOME FOR UP TO 4 PEOPLE with an AUTOMATIC GEARBOX

We have two Hugos, both are 2023 Autotrail F60s with an automatic gearbox. The two vans are identical except Hugo2 has two seatbelts and Hugo4 has 4 seatbelts (two seats by the table). They both sleep 4. At just 6m long they are the same length as Piglet, but the extra 40cm width transforms the inside into a spacious, light, open space which seems impossible in such a short vehicle. This is achieved by locating the bathroom at the back of the van across the full width, and using an electric drop-down double bed instead of a fixed rear bed. So you don't need to make up your bed every day - you just push a button and it ascends into the roof, leaving you with a table and seating for up to 6.

Although primarily designed for couples, the dinette area converts into a second double bed so it also works with one or two smaller children - however do note that there is fairly limited storage space so you'll need to travel very light. If there are more than two of you going away for more than a week, we'd point you towards Goose or Rooster which have considerably more storage and beds in different parts of the van.

The feel inside is focused on comfort, with effective ambient lighting and clever storage solutions. There is a small outside cupboard and a separate outside cubby for footwear. Like all our vans, the Hugos have heating, a fridge, a hob and sink, a solar panel, cab air conditioning, a reversing camera, a wind-out awning and cruise control. A portable table is provided for eating inside or outside. Please note there's no bike rack option.

There is an option to add a drive-away awning which gives you additional sleeping and storage space. Please note there's no bike rack on Hugo4, please book Hugo2 or Tigger.

The full specification is below, and you can compare our vehicles on our Resources page.
